Why Choose Little Wags

Why Choose Little Wags

When you want more for your little furbaby than a standard day care …

Little Wags is an unique in home service for smaller breeds (13 kg or less) with a max of 10 pooches a day and two care givers

Limiting the number of dogs in our care ensures a calmer experience for your pup and more attention from the Little Wags Team for cuddles and lap time!  All pooches have individual personalities and quirks, as such, we customise the day care for them and not the other way around.

When your pup joins Little Wags, you don’t become just another client, you become part of a family.  We are all about the personal touches, keeping the parent informed of how their pooch is doing and progressing.  We really do treat your pooch like one of our own, our emphasis is making sure they are as happy as possible.

Not all dogs enjoy a large bustling day care environment, it can be overwhelming and scary for them.

At Little Wags your fur baby will experience socialisation, fully supervised, with other small dogs in a comfortable home style environment.  We pride ourselves on being able to give your pooch the individual attention they require.

We put your pooch into a regular day that they will be most suited for, other dogs with similar energy levels and temperaments.  We don’t take casual bookings, ensuring the dogs building a relationship with their day care mates.  We ensure that they have rest and calm time as well as play time.  A calm environment equals a less stressed and happier pup.  Mental stimulation can be just as tiring as a full day of play.

We have three distinct areas at Little Wags for your pooches to explore:

Sensory Garden:

We are quite proud that we have created a “sensory garden” area for the dogs which is designed to stimulate the senses through the garden by:

          • smell
          • sight
          • sound
          • taste and touch.

Chill zone aka dog lounge:

Area where the dogs can go to relax, watch TV and snooze if they so wish on couches/dog beds or just plain carpeted floor.

Crates are available and are left open for those who feel more comfortable in a crate.

We also have heating in winter and spare jackets for those cooler days.

Garden play zone:

General area where they can have a splash around in the clam shells, run through tunnels and climbing frames, wrestle, do zoomies, play with toys or just watch the antics from the sidelines.

Free play time is closely monitored ensuring that the dogs do not get over stimulated which is when incidents can occur.

We have dog friendly artificial turf which ensures your dog will not come home dirty, even in winter time.
